Air Travel - How to Book Special Rate Flights



Air Canada (including Air Canada Jazz), has been selected as the official Canadian airline for BCMA's Conference 2010: "I, Museum - Community, Technology, Opportunity and is offering special discounts to the first 100 delegates, presenters, instructors, exhibitors and guest speakers.

How to Book Special Rate Flights:
To make reservations and claim special discounts online:  **
 
 
 
 

  1. Go to the website: aircanada.com
  2. ENTER the BCMA's Conference 2010 Promotional Code: (New Number Pending) in the Search panel.
  3. ENTER your travel dates, number of passengers, where you will fly from, and “Nanaimo, British Columbia NEW” as your destination. ***
  4. CLICK “Search” to view and SELECT your flight options.
    CLICK “Continue”.
  5. Review your itinerary, final quote details, and rules and conditions displayed. CLICK the check box to confirm your acceptance and 
    CLICK  "Continue".
  6. ENTER your Aeroplan number and password, if applicable, OR
    CLICK “Continue as Guest”.
  7. ENTER your passenger name, trip preferences and contact info. CLICK “Continue”.
  8. ENTER payment (credit card) information and billing address. RE-TYPE your email address as prompted to generate an electronic ticket and itinerary to the address you specified for presentation at the airport.

Canadian Museums Association Bursary Program
For Pre-Conference Workshops, BCMA's Conference 2010 qualifies for bursaries from the Canadian Museums Association Bursary Fund
normally reserved for pre-conference workshops.

BCMA's Travel Assistance Bursary Program
For Conference 2010, the BCMA will offer a limited number of $250.00 Travel Assistance Bursaries to delegates-in-need representing current BCMA Institutional Members.

To Apply:
1.  Write to the BCMA to formally request a Travel Assistance Bursary;
2.  Include in your letter a brief budget statement listing your:
     a) Registration fees;
     b) Travel & accommodation expenses, & 
     c) Your projected Total Cost to participate.
     Please indicate any & all other confirmed bursaries or financial
     assistance you will receive to participate at Conference 2010;
3.  Submit your application by the deadline (postmarked no later than)
     October 22, 2010 to:

Please Note:  Travel Assistance Bursaries will be paid to successful applicants following Conference 2010 & confirmation of attendance.
